Don't let the gravy stress you out this time. With this EASY VEGAN GRAVY RECIPE, it's no problem if you wait till the last minute, as it only takes 3 minutes to come together!

Y'all, I know how it is. You're cruisin' along with this big ole feast. You're feeling slightly stressed, but all in all, pretty damn good.
Then all of a sudden, it hits you.
The gravy!
Effffffff!
I forgot the gravy. I forgot there was one more recipe to do. I no longer have control of the situation, and this feast is no longer going to turn out like I hoped.
Besides, how the hell do you make vegan gravy anyway?? And what is gravy made of? Doesn't it require animal juices or something ridiculous like that??
UGH!
OK, woah Becky. Come down from the struggle bus. I'm going to help you out with this one. I have the solution to all your last minute vegan gravy woes.
It's the best. It's the easiest. And it literally takes you like 3 minutes to mix it up in a saucepan. Honestly, I bet your 10 year old, or even your husband could handle it for you.
Here's the deal. I 100% know that there are gravy recipes out there on the interwebs that are made with mushrooms and onions and all these delicious foods that probably taste delightful.
But the truth of the matter is that it can often be hard enough for us crazy-busy ladies to even get the meal on the table and make the mashed potatoes from scratch, let alone have a gravy to go with it. So that is why we're going this route.
The super easy, mama-ain't-got-time-for-roasted-mushroom-gravy version. And you're going to thank me for it. Bet.
How to make vegetarian gravy
Want me to go through the steps and show you just how easy this meatless vegetarian gravy is? Let's do it.
- Add all ingredients to a medium saucepan and stir to combine. Bring mixture to a boil.
- Whisk over medium-high heat for a couple of minutes until the gravy thickens. Remove from heat and either serve immediately or allow to cool slightly, letting it thicken up a bit more.
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to a week.
Uhhhh, yeah, that's all.
And I don't know about you, but as a vegan person that I am, I almost always have all these ingredients in my pantry, including the nooch (ie, the nutritional yeast). So there will never be a reason why this vegan gravy recipe can't make an appearance throughout the year. I bet your family will thank you (and me...)!
