Ingredients To Make Hummus Toast

For The Base:

Gluten Free Bread – We use gluten-free bread for our Hummus Toast recipe, but you are welcome to use any bread you prefer. Sourdough would be a great choice as well.

Hummus – Hummus is simple to make in a high-powered blender or food processor, but can also be found in most grocery stores. There are a large variety of flavors in the grocery store, so have fun trying out different combinations.

Topping Option 1:

Avocado – We cut the avocado into long slices and place the pieces on the toast neatly. But you could also mash the avocado in a bowl and spread it on top of the hummus.

Spices – This option includes freshly cracked black pepper and red pepper flakes, but give your favorite spice blends a try. Everything But The Bagel seasoning would be AMAZING!

Cilantro – Fresh cilantro adds a yummy herby flavor you’re sure to love.

Topping Option 2:

Ripe Tomatoes – Tomatoes are the star of the show in this option, so tomatoes right-off-the-vine are a must. Roma and beef steak tomatoes are great options.

Basil – You can rip up the basil and sprinkle it on top, or get fancy and try using the chiffonade slicing technique.

Balsamic Glaze – Balsamic glaze is sweet and acidic and brightens up the toast.

Topping Option 3:

Feta Cheese – We recommend using crumbled feta cheese in this version.

Pomegranate Seeds – Pomegranate seeds add a bit of sweetness to this ultra-creamy version.

Pumpkin Seeds – Pumpkin seeds are full of nutrients and add crunch.

With these ingredients, you can make Hummus Toast with good-for-you ingredients that taste amazing.
