AVOCADO

INGREDIENTS

– 2 avocados ripe – 2 tablespoons lime juice about 1 lime – ¼ cup fresh cilantro leaves adjust to taste – 2 clobes garlic minced – 1/2 cup silken tofu – ½ cup canned green chile – salt and pepper to taste

STEP 1

Combine ripe avocados, lime juice, cilantro, garlic, silken tofu, canned green chiles, salt, and pepper in blender or food processor.

STEP 2

Blend until smooth and creamy, adjusting seasonings as needed.

STEP 3

Transfer avocado cream sauce to serving bowl or container. Serve immediately as dip, topping, or dressing.

Tips for Making Avocado Cream Sauce:

If you don’t have any lime at home but you happen to have some lemons, you can use it as an alternative. While not the exact same as a lime, it will still add that slight citrus-like zest to the cream, so you can make it work.
