Instructions

  • Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  • Whisk in the hot sauce, agave syrup, and salt.
  • Pour the butter mixture over the cooked popcorn in a large bowl and toss to coat.
  • Taste and season with more salt if needed.
  • For an extra kick, sprinkle your Buffalo popcorn with a dash or two of cayenne pepper. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Combine a tablespoon of oil and half a cup of popcorn kernels in a hot pot over medium-high heat. Once some kernels start popping, cover and shake the pot every few seconds until the popping mostly stops.
  • You can also combine half a teaspoon of oil and 1/4 cup of popcorn kernels in a microwave-safe bowl, cover it with a plate, and microwave on High for 3 minutes or until there is a 3-second pause between the pops.
  • If you don't plan on serving your Buffalo wing popcorn immediately, you can keep it crispy for up to 3 days by drying it out in the oven. Transfer the coated popcorn to a lined baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes at 250°F.
