JACKFFRUIT TACOS

INGREDIENTS

– 1 onion diced – 1 Tablespoon minced garlic – 2 20 oz cans jackfruit, drained and rinsed – 1 Tablespoon coconut sugar – 1 tsp oregano – 1 tsp salt – 1 tsp cumin – 1 tsp chili powder – 1/2 tsp smoked paprika – 1/4 tsp black pepper – 1/2 cup fresh orange juice – Taco Topping – 24 street taco sized tortilla – coleslaw mix – avocado – cilantro – salsa

STEP 1

In a slow cooker, combine onion, garlic, and jackfruit.

STEP 2

Mix together coconut sugar, oregano, salt, cumin, chili powder, smoked paprika, pepper, and orange juice in a small bowl. Pour over jackfruit mixture.

STEP 3

Cover and cook on low for 7-9 hours or high for 3-4 hours. Fill tortillas with jackfruit filling and top with coleslaw mix, avocado, cilantro, and salsa. Enjoy!

Tips for Making  Jackfruit Tacos:

You can totally go to town on these tacos and appreciate them for what they are. The flavor is bomb because they’ve been marinating all day.
