INGREDIENTS

– 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (plus additional for your workspace) – 1/4 tsp salt – 1/4 tsp sugar – 1/2 cup + 1 tbsp vegetable shortening, cold and cut into small piece – 1 tbsp white vinegar – 1/4 cup

STEP 1

Combine flour, salt, and sugar in a bowl, mix well. Cut cold vegetable shortening into dry ingredients until crumbly.

STEP 2

Add white vinegar, then slowly add almond milk, incorporating quickly into dough.

STEP 3

Place dough on floured tea towel, roll to 1/8 inch thick. Transfer dough to pie dish, trim edges.

STEP 4

Pre-bake crust for 17-20 minutes at 400°F if required, otherwise follow recipe instructions.

These vegan marshmallows are delicious just after they’re made, but unfortunately they do not keep well. Make this recipe and enjoy it on the same day.
