vegan brownies

INGREDIENTS

– 1 cup vegan chocolate chips – 1/2 cup vegan butter – 1 cup white sugar – 1/2 cup almond milk – 1 tsp vanilla extract – 1/2 cup all-purpose flour – 1/4 cup cocoa powder – 1 1/2 tsp baking powder – 1/4 tsp salt – 1/2 cup walnuts (optional) – Non-stick spray

STEP 1

Melt chocolate chips and butter in saucepan, remove from heat.

STEP 2

Combine melted mixture with sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a bowl.

STEP 3

Add flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt, mix until just combined. Fold in walnuts.

STEP 4

Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes.

STEP 5

Allow brownies to cool before slicing.

Tips for Making  Fudgy Vegan Brownies:

Mix the batter just until combined or when you no longer see streaks of dry ingredients. Overmixing can cause brownies to sink in the middle!
