Notes

  • Another way to salt the glass rim is to run a wedge of lime around it and only roll half of the rim in salt. You can also pour a very small amount of salt into the plate, so you'll only get a thin lining around the rim when you dip the glass in the plate.
  • Play around with your rim salt! Combine salt with chili powder or chamoy to take your skinny margarita's flavor to the next level. 
  • The best skinny margarita recipe uses fresh-squeezed lime juice, not bottled lime juice. Make sure the lime is at room temperature, roll it back and forth on a flat surface with gentle pressure, and cut it lengthwise. You can also use a handheld citrus juicer!
