Ingredients

  • 1 cantaloupe ripe
  • 1-2 sprigs fresh mint optional
  • ice cubes optional
  • agave or other sweetener to taste, optional

Instructions

  • Wash the cantaloupe thoroughly to remove dirt and debris from the skin. Cut the cantaloupe in half, remove the seeds and rind, and cut the flesh into small chunks.
  • Rinse fresh mint leaves (if using) under cold water to remove any impurities. Or you can save as a garnish.
  • In a blender, combine the cantaloupe chunks and mint leaves. Blend on high speed until smooth.
  • Optionally, strain the juice to remove pulp or seeds.
  • Taste the juice and add sugar or honey for extra sweetness, adjusting to your preference. Blend again to incorporate the sweetener.
  • For a chilled juice, add ice cubes to the blender and blend until crushed and well mixed.
  • Pour the juice into a jug or individual glasses.
  • Garnish with mint sprigs if serving immediately, or refrigerate to chill further.
  • Stir the juice before serving as it may separate slightly. Enjoy your refreshing homemade cantaloupe juice!

Notes

  • Use chilled ingredients: For a cool and refreshing Cantaloupe Juice, make sure your cantaloupe is chilled, and add ice cubes to the blender. This will give you a refreshing beverage from the start.
  • Experiment with flavors: While the basic recipe is delicious on its own, feel free to experiment with additional flavors. You can add a squeeze of lime juice, a pinch of cinnamon, or a dash of ginger for a unique twist.
  • Strain for a smoother texture: If you prefer a smooth juice without any pulp or seeds, strain the juice through a fine-mesh strainer or cheesecloth before serving. However, leaving the pulp in can provide added fiber and texture.
