Equipment

  • Vitamix Blender

Ingredients

  • cup water
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (optional)
  • 3/4 cup fresh baby spinach
  • 1 celery stalk, roughly chopped
  • 1 kiwi peeled
  • 1 green apple cored, roughly chopped
  • 1/2 green pear cored, roughly chopped
  • 1/2 small cucumber peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 medium avocado peeled, pitted, and roughly chopped
  • 8-10 ice cubes

Instructions

  • In a high-speed blender, place all ingredients in the order they are listed. You want to make sure the spinach is weighed down by all the other ingredients to ensure everything gets mixed without chunks of spinach leaves.
  • Blend on high speed for about 45-60 seconds until completely smooth. Enjoy in a tall glass.

Notes

  1. The first time you make this green drink, you may need to give it a little taste and adjust as needed. If it's not sweet enough add more fruit or a splash of pineapple or apple juice.
  2. Some smoothies totally work as make-ahead smoothies, but the water content from the celery and cucumber in this green goddess smoothie make it separate pretty quickly. You'll want to drink this one right away and while still cold for the best texture.
