Ingredients
cupwater
1scoop vanilla protein powder(optional)
3/4cupfresh baby spinach
1celery stalk,roughly chopped
1kiwipeeled
1green applecored, roughly chopped
1/2green pearcored, roughly chopped
1/2small cucumberpeeled and chopped
1/2medium avocadopeeled, pitted, and roughly chopped
8-10ice cubes
Instructions
In a high-speed blender, place all ingredients in the order they are listed. You want to make sure the spinach is weighed down by all the other ingredients to ensure everything gets mixed without chunks of spinach leaves.
Blend on high speed for about 45-60 seconds until completely smooth. Enjoy in a tall glass.
Notes
The first time you make this green drink, you may need to give it a little taste and adjust as needed. If it's not sweet enough add more fruit or a splash of pineapple or apple juice.
Some smoothies totally work as make-ahead smoothies, but the water content from the celery and cucumber in this green goddess smoothie make it separate pretty quickly. You'll want to drink this one right away and while still cold for the best texture.
