Ingredients

  • 9- ounces dairy-free dark chocolate chips (I use Enjoy Life)
  • 4 ounces 70-75% dark chocolate , chopped
  • 1 cup full fat coconut milk solids , chilled (see notes)
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 2 Tbsp dairy-free butter (I use Earth Balance)
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/8 tsp salt

Dippers:

  • strawberries
  • pretzel sticks
  • bananas
  • apples

Instructions

  • Lightly spray slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray. Alternatively, you could use a slow-cooker liner that you can just toss when you're finished.
  • Add all of the fondue ingredients and stir. Cover and cook on LOW for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
  • Fondue is ready when chocolate is completely melted and smooth. It should be about an hour, depending on the heat of your slow cooker
  • Turn slow cooker to warm and serve with assorted dippers.

Notes

For the coconut milk, you want coconut milk from a can, usually found in the asian foods section. Choose full fat, and refrigerate it for at least 12 hours before using. When opening the can, do not shake first. Only scoop out the solids for this recipe, saving the liquid part for a smoothie or some other recipe.
