SAUSAGE GRAVY

INGREDIENTS

– 3 tbsp avocado oil – 8 oz tempeh, crumbled – 1 tsp ground sage – 1/2 tsp sea salt – 1/2 tsp freshly cracked black pepper – 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes – 1/4 tsp garlic powder – 1/4 tsp onion powder – 1/4 cup gluten-free all-purpose flour – 2 1/2 cups 

STEP 1

Heat avocado oil in a large skillet over high heat.

STEP 2

Add tempeh and cook for 2-3 minutes until starting to brown.

STEP 3

Add spices and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Stir in flour.

STEP 4

Pour in milk and whisk until smooth.

STEP 5

Simmer for 5-7 minutes until thickened. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
