BAKED APPLE

CIDER DONUTS

INGREDIENTS

Donut – 1 cup all-purpose flour – 1/3 cup sugar – 1 tsp apple pie spice – 1 tsp baking powder – 1 tsp baking soda – 1/8 tsp salt – 3/4 cup unsweetened applesauce – 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar – 1/4 cup vegan butter – 1/3 cup plant-based yogurt – Non-stick cooking spray Topping – 3 tbsp sugar – 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

STEP 1

In another mixing bowl, mix applesauce, apple cider vinegar, vegan butter, and plant-based yogurt with a hand mixer.

STEP 2

Slowly fold wet ingredients into flour mixture, being careful not to overmix.

STEP 3

Preheat oven to 350°F and grease donut baking pan.

STEP 4

Fill each ring with donut batter, ensuring not to overfill.

STEP 5

Bake apple cider donuts for 15 minutes.

STEP 6

Place baked donuts upside down in cinnamon mixture. Serve and enjoy!

Tips for Making  Apple Cider Donuts:

 If you don’t have apple pie spice, just combine 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg, and 1/4 teaspoon of allspice or cardamom.
