5. Park as far away as possible.
Whether you’re going to work, the grocery store, or the mall, this will work to your advantage and help you to be more active.
Park far. We’re always looking for that closest parking spot and always get a little extra excited when someone backs out of the very first stall. But you know what? Parking in that first stall does nothing for us except for saves our hair from a little extra rain or wind on a cloudy day.
It does nothing for our health.
It does nothing for our well-being.
All it does is make us a little more lazy. I hate to say it, but it’s true.
Park at the other end of the parking lot and enjoy your walk into the office. Remind yourself that you’re doing this for your health. Remind yourself that you deserve to add activity into your day since you’ll be sitting in a chair for the next 8 hours.
Now this next one is one I wish I had the opportunity to do at my last job, but maybe you can!
