3. Get a DeskCycle to keep moving.
Have ya’ll heard of a DeskCycle? No?!
Oh my goodness, this thing is absolutely magical. Picture a stationary exercise bike. Now cut off the portion behind the pedals and add your office chair there. And cut off the handlebars and put your office desk in its place.
It’s a bike underneath your desk! It truly doesn’t get any more brilliant than this. Ever since I set my eyes on the DeskCycle, I knew I had to have it.
A few of its amazing features:
- adjustable resistance
- a display that tells you how fast you’re going, how far you’ve pedaled, and how long you have been pedaling.
- smooth and quiet
- heavy enough to stay stable, but light enough to move around (take it home on the weekends and pedal while you watch a movie!)
There was one little thing I was skeptical about when I first got the DeskCycle. Would I be able to concentrate on work while I was pedaling away? I have the attention-span of a two-year-old, so I was pretty sure this was going to be difficult for me. Pedaling and typing. It would be like patting my head and rubbing my belly. Or is it the other way around?
Anywho, let me just tell you. I have had no problems whatsoever staying focused and on task while pedaling on my DeskCycle. I easily get miles and miles in every day without even noticing or feeling like I’m doing work.
Now, that’s not to say that you can’t get a good workout in on the DeskCycle. Over the weekend, I put it in front of the couch and watched tv for an hour while pedaling on high resistance pretty fast. I broke a sweat and definitely counted that as a workout that day.
Oh, and I have total good news for you today.
I got in contact with DeskCycle and told them I’d have a ton of people interested in putting in an order for their very own DeskCycle, and they wanted to offer you a 10% discount on your purchase!
Just go here to place your order and enter the coupon code “HFHL” (without the quotes) to get your discount.
This is going to change your life like it has mine. The best part of it for me has been knowing that even if I can’t make it to the gym later that night or wasn’t able to wake up early enough to get my weights in earlier that morning, I still have the opportunity to get some activity in with my DeskCycle.
As if that wasn’t the coolest tip ever for ya, I still have more. This one’s probably the simplest, so I know you can add it in.
