Kids don’t even realize you are serving them Vanilla AlmondMilk when you package it up in a delicious treat like this Almond Milk Strawberry Milkshake!
If there was one thing I could do in this life for my family, it would be to get them to make healthy choices so that they could live a long life full of health. For themselves, for our future as a family, and just for their future success in life. I know this sounds heavy and all, but I have made conscious decisions about the reasons why I choose to life meat-free and eliminate a large amount of dairy. When it comes down to it, I want to live as long as I possibly can, as long as I’m healthy and happy. And in those long years of my life, I would love for my family to be along for the ride! So I’m always trying to get them on board to join me in making healthy choices. Eating fresh and local produce. Incorporating fruit and veggie smoothies into their days. Getting outside and active each day. So many ways to get healthy to enjoy a longer life. One of the ways I would love to see my kiddo get healthier is to cut out some of the dairy in his daily consumption, like I have. We’ve tried oat milk, soy milk, rice milk, and almond milk, and he just hasn’t been satisfied with the flavor. But I decided to give it one more shot with Silk’s Vanilla AlmondMilk. We made a little video so of him trying out the Vanilla Almond Milk for the first time. It took a couple sips, and even more after the video, but I think we finally have a winner for him, which is something this mama can get behind! In the meantime, why don’t you whip this milkshake up for your family? It’s super easy and will be ready in no time at all, especially if you’re using a Blendtec blender to crush those frozen strawberries!
- 3/4 cup frozen strawberries
- 1/2 cup Silk Vanilla AlmondMIlk
- 2 scoops Vanilla Soy Ice Cream
Blend all ingredients together until completely smooth in a high-powered blender, such as a Blendtec.
If you're not using a Blendtec, you may need to use strawberries that aren't frozen in order to achieve a smooth milkshake.
