Wanna know how I know what you’re struggling with? Because I have been there! I’ve SO been there.

  • hours and hours of sitting on your butt all day at an office chair as your life just seems to waste away.
  • days, weeks, and months that go by where you feel more and more sedentary in your life.
  • discouraging feelings because you want to live healthy and active life, but your office job is just getting in the way.

Just a little over a year, I was working in an office where I spent about 90% of my day stuck sitting in a cubicle. I thought to myself, “I have got to get out of here. I have got to quit my job and start my own business where I get to call the shots.”

I had dreams of quitting my job and taking walks every single day and not sitting for more than an hour at time. I thought that once I was my own boss, I would be so much less sedentary. 

You know what happened though?

Even as a small business owner, there is lots and lots of computer work to be done, which means lots and lots of sitting. My dreams of a more active lifestyle went out the window. Yes, I’m able to have the freedom to call my own shots, but there still isn’t time to go to a gym class in the middle of the day. There’s not time for a walk around the neighborhood multiple times a day. 

So even though I do have the freedom to work from home, much of the day is spent sitting in an office chair looking at a computer screen just like yours is.

I’ve had to think outside of the box in order to stay healthy even if I am confined to my desk the majority of the day.

Oh, and here’s the key point.

Just doing one of these things is where people get it a little mixed up. A lot of people think that if they just take the stairs instead of the elevator, that’s going to solve all the issues and classify you as an active person. 

I assure you that you are going to want to go through all 7 tips I have for you and do as many as you possibly can. Putting all these simple and easy tips into place will help you to:

  • feel better about yourself
  • have more energy
  • have better focus at work
  • live that active life you have been dreaming of since you first sat your booty down in that office chair

They’re not hard. Doing them all is actually quite possible.
