Getting a Break with Starburst Sorbet Bars

Getting a Break with Starburst Sorbet Bars - Kick back your feet with your favorite candy in frozen form! www.happyfoodhealthylife.com
Okay, if you’ve been following along lately, you’ve probably noticed that things have been a bit sparse around here. Posts are few and far between, and I want to tell you why.

* it’s summer and i want do nothing besides lay by the pool, read, and enjoy time with friends.

* my wife FINALLY gets home in 3 days and I have a ton of cleaning to do before she gets in.

* once she gets home, i’m pretty certain the computer and photographing food is going to be the last thing on my to-do list for a couple weeks.

* i’m officially burnt out. with life. with blogging. with being a mom (a single one for the last 7 months!). with making dinner. with doing this long-distance marriage stuff. I’m just tired.

Yes, I love blogging. Yes, it’s a wonderful outlet for me. But at the same time, some times a girl just needs a break! That is where these amazing new Starburst Sorbet Bars come into play.

First of all, is there anyone who doesn’t like the Pink Starburst? I know it’s my favorite! Heck, I even created a cocktail based on my favorite Starburst, and it’s my #1 post here.

Secondly, I know how fun it is to make ice cream and popsicles from scratch, but there comes a time when all you want to do is open your freezer and grab something that’s already been made.

Whether you’re hanging out at the beach, sitting out on the deck with the kids, or you’re sneaking into a closet to escape reality, you’re going to want to bring a Starburst Sorbet Bar with you! And if you’re really feeling daring (like I was!), you can get fancy and make a drink out of it.

I just mixed a shot of vodka with a bit of sprite and dipped my sorbet bar right on in there. DeLISH! And so refreshing. I bet it would be tasty with champagne poured on top also. Or even some simple club soda if you’re going virgin-style here.

So this is how I’m taking a break. I have a couple posts this week for you, but after that, it may be a week or two before we chat again. Hope that’s okay with you and you’re all having a wonderfully relaxing summer!

So sweet of you to say Aimee! I am already missing blogging, but I am definitely enjoyinh my time spent with my wife without the stress of having to get a recipe made, photographed, edited, and written up.

Glad your doing good and set to do better! My favorite way the decompress is to actually make a family dinner for my ever growing bunch. I love trying out new recipes and healthy is a bonus ( shout out to you) Back to school next week….those kids must eat so my status as a “Lady who lunches” to a Lunch lady is about to change!

I love using books as my escape. In fact, I often get so sucked into the story that I have to remind myself that it’s just a novel, not real life!

Taking a break? As a busy mom of five, a break is just finding a few moments alone, usually in the bathroom. :)
